This guideline addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just just before Thotar provides you with a taming Rod for a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar offers you a series of three taming rods, each one is different and will allow you tame beasts in the next order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and eventually an Armored Scorpid.

Once you've completed the taming Component of the Quest chain, you have got to head to Orgrimmar and talk to Ormak Grimshot while in the Valley of Honor in order to unlock your pet managing capabilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.
